Aruna has 18+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Internal controls and extensive international experience leading assurance reviews, process documentation, risk investigations, compliance projects and Sarbanes Oxley testing. She currently leads the Enterprise Risk management function at Aster DM Healthcare’s global network across 7 countries of over 350 Hospitals, Clinics and Pharmacies, incorporating major brands such as Medcare, Aster and Access. Her responsibilities include embedding enterprise risk management across the organization, driving initiatives to enhance the risk culture, support strategic projects in identification and assessment of risks, oversight of third party relationships, integrating ESG into ERM and guiding the business along their Digital and IT journey. 

Prior to this, she worked with M&G plc for 15 years supporting the Head of Risk and Compliance in driving the risk and controls agenda in the organization. She also led the Diversity and Inclusion initiatives for the organization.  

Her academic background is Bachelors in Accountancy and Economics from the Mumbai University before getting certified in Operational Risk from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments. She is also a trained Mental Health First Aider and Suicide First Respondent.  

Beyond the office, she loves travelling, trying out new cuisines and mentoring school children and young professionals.
