Vanessa grew up in Cartagena, Colombia – a city with at least 35°C all year round right by the Caribbean Sea – moving to the UK in 2013. Between 2008 and 2012, Vanessa worked in Colombia undertaking project management roles in construction and engineering. It was in 2012 that she met her now husband Andrew and moved into consultancy work whilst travelling between continents.

Settling in the UK in 2013, Vanessa spent the next 4 years continuing in project management roles and procurement, finally ending up at Travis Perkins in 2017 working within the Fleet team supporting the 1600 branch estate across the UK. Through the Covid pandemic the Fleet team was reorganised and Vanessa moved into the role of Project Implementation Coordinator where she have successfully overseen, managed and deployed numerous business improvement projects for the Group.
