Maureen Robson Norman

Maureen co-founded whyaye in 2019 with Anna Bissett and Lisa Smith. She has shaped whyaye to stimulate open-mindedness and challenge the norm to transform ways of working. She has a passion for driving positive business change across large global enterprises and her previous experience is in the delivery of global digital and HR transformations across a range of industries.

Before founding whyaye, Maureen held a range of senior positions including Lead Product Owner for ServiceNow and Enterprise Transformation Lead at Lloyds Banking Group, Business Change and Implementation Lead at Shell, Head of Service Improvement at RBS, Managing Consultant at Fujitsu Services and HR Partner at Siemens. Maureen holds an Executive MBA from Newcastle University and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Northumbria Business School.

Maureen puts people first and firmly believes in honesty and transparency. She has combined this with determination, drive and tenacity to inspire whyaye’s mob members, support the growth of whyaye and help the team to develop and thrive. She puts the health and wellbeing of her employees before anything else and encourages honest conversations – however difficult these may be. Maureen has spearheaded the adoption of completely flat structure at whyaye, with no hierarchy. She firmly believes an organisation is a diverse network of individuals who all possess their own strengths and specialisms but also learn and grown together, supporting each other. As Maureen is incredibly passionate about equality and diversity within the tech space and more so, the company, whyaye has also been part of ServiceNow’s NextGen Program which has been designed in partnership with the Refugee Council, who support refugees into employment. The 8-week training programme equips participants with in-demand ServiceNow skills and whyaye has benefited from 3 new mob members from this programme. More recently whyaye has also partnered with Neurodiversity in Business, an industry forum that seeks to improve the inclusion of neurodivergent people in the workforce.
